Great infomation and site. I'm looking forward to more. I do have one thought for improvement. The name, The Nervewracking Nurse Practitioner, seems a little odd. A nervewracking nurse would be a nurse who wracks one's nerves, which is not a good association. Shouldn't it be The Nervewracked Nurse Practitioner, indicating a nurse practitioner who is busy, harried and at wits end? Am I misinterpreting? Thanks for the great site.

You can save a great deal of time by using email instead of the phone. Routine email is unsecure and therefore not HIPAA compliant, but you can use www.housedoc.us instead, which is an online communication service between patients and their medical providers including NPs, etc. Its free as well as HIPAA compliant, and easy to use.

I wanted to answer the question regarding the reason I chose to use the nervewracking NP..It is because I have gone to everyone imagineable to try to change things for NPs and refused to leave them alone. Most docs in the surrounding small towns where I live do not want an NP to be independent at all, so I have considered myself that nervewracker that won't give up and just go away quietly like they wish. Does that help with the title? and yes, I am Nervewracked too!! thank you for comment!

thanks for the info on housedoc.us, i was not aware of that, and also not aware about it being a hippa violation to communicate through regular email. so thank you very much for that valuable info. I am going to check into that right now.
